Stirchley Park, Birmingham - A wonderful open space!

Stirchley Park is situated in Stirchley, Birmingham. Near Ribblesdale Road, The Bourn flows to the north of the park. Wonderful street art to be found on the wall.


Stirchley Park was originally created from land donated by William A Cadbury in the early 19th century, the park is a small and hidden green space in the heart of Stirchley.

There is entrances to Stirchley Park from Ribblesdale Road, on a path that crosses The Bourn.

The Bourn flows towards the River Rea, just north of Hazelwell Park. It heads south west towards Bournville and Bournville Park (under the Worcester & Birmingham Canal and Cross City Line).

Other entrances near Farmfoods and the Friends Meeting House, that leads to Hazelwell Street. Also one that goes down the side of the Morrisons supermarket (was formerly The Co-operative Food).

 

Street Art at Stirchley Park

These wonderful street art murals were by Graffiti by Title. It depicts the history of the Stirchley area from trams along the Pershore Road, to motorcars and caravans.

Some years, the street art is repainted, as sometimes it gets vandalised from time to time.
