There is also a path from Hazelwell Fordrough, and over the bridge from Hazelwell Lane (near Hunts Road and Ripple Road). Although for years most of the land to the west of the park has been hoarded off for development.

The park has a rich natural and industrial heritage, is a great space for sports and community events, and a valuable haven for wildlife using the River Rea corridor through south Birmingham.

The Friends of Hazelwell Park try to keep the park clean and tidy.
